De Anza College in Cupertino had a small existing CNC Lab in the industrial arts program that needed an expansion due to high student use and in the same building they had an underutilized computer lab classroom next door. The two rooms were combined to create a much larger CNC lab and a specialized separate control room was added in the space. The control room has a negative air pressure system to prevent dust accumulation and to protect the delicate equipment. This project also included mechanical and utility systems upgrades to facilitate the new equipment loads on the electrical system, and the telecom and internet systems. This renovation was contained within the existing envelope of the E2 building.
